We have known the Alte Schmiede for a long time but haven't been there for a long time. Today we picked up something to eat and it was just FABULOUS !!! We just raved about food. Special requests were taken into account and large portions. The staff is always extremely friendly and courteous. Price / performance top !!! I think we will fetch more often now (and if it is possible to eat again!).

Very, very good food and drinks👌 We were there twice and felt completely at ease. Very friendly, attentive and efficient young lady serving. I ate the best roast pork there in my life! Tender as butter with an excellent sauce, wonderful dumplings and a fresh salad with excellent dressing. My wife had shreds of ox that melted on the tongue with a wonderful sauce and an equally good salad. The very good Wiliams brandy ended the evening worthy. On our next vacation at the Tegernsee we will definitely eat there again☝️ Keep up the good work with excellent quality and hospitality👍👍👍

Originally, we wanted to go to a restaurant with a view of the lake on Tegernsee at short notice on Sunday evening, but that was completely illusory - in the summer weather everything was overcrowded and fully booked. Fortunately, we then became aware of the "Alte Schmiede", where a table was still available for us even without a reservation. The restaurant is conveniently located on the thoroughfare with a parking lot directly in front of the beer garden. It doesn't have a view of the lake, but you sit in the cozy beer garden at rustic wooden tables in a familiar atmosphere, have an attentive and friendly service, and the food is just delicious, whether it's roast pork, onion roast or burger - everything is recommended.

Cash only / only cash payment possible! We found the restaurant after everything in Tegernsee and Rottach-Egern was fully booked. It's a bit off the beaten track, but it's definitely worth the drive. We sat very comfortably in the small beer garden. With the meal we had the onion roast and the fillet tip - both are highly recommended. The meat was very tender and super seasoned. We will definitely recommend the pub. The only problem was that only cash was accepted, but the Sparkasse is just around the corner.

We visited the restaurant because of the good reviews. We got with that very much good food not disappoint. The service was very nice and attentive. We also really liked the rustic and simple design of the restaurant. We can only recommend the restaurant and visit again.

We ate here in transit. Unfortunately I can not fully understand the very good reviews, for us the food was rather average in terms of quality. What surprised me a little was that a vegetarian burger was offered and prepared with a potato rösti, as there are vegetarian pates available everywhere today. The potato wedges were also of cheap quality, unfortunately.

Since we were rejected after a bike tour at 10:04 p.m. in the Bräustüberl Tegernsee, we looked for an alternative and found the Alte Schmiede. The landlord was very friendly and, despite the already closed kitchen, conjured up 5 great sausage salads from our sleeves. Highly recommended, we will be back.

Very great Bavarian economy! Very cozy with tiled stove and rustic old wood furniture! The food is very good! As you notice, that there is a trained chef at the stove (boss of the house)!
